weekly gratitude

While reading Megan's blog {megsadorkable[dot]blogspot[dot]com}, I became inspired to do the same thing as her and so many others are doing. My hopes is that it will help me find the good in the hard times, especially the hard time I'm going through now.

This week I'm thankful for:

1a. This cute lil Asian who is becoming a great friend.
1b. And this weird kid who likes to wear bandannas.
1c. And for BYU football games. They always are so fun {especially when we win!} and help my mind focus on happy things.

The Gospel. As I continue to search the scriptures, I hope that my faith will be strengthened as I prepare for the future. I am so grateful for the Book of Mormon and have grown to love reading it. This time through, I have focused a lot more and been able to follow the story line and enjoy reading it. I am so thankful for the prophet Joseph Smith and his sacrifice in bringing it forth in this dispensation.

Money! I seriously am so grateful I have a savings account. And that my parents set aside $10 every month since I was born. It has been a huge blessing in my life as I go off to college. I now have a reassurance that I can pay for it {or at least the first year}.

My room. I love that my papa made it himself {with my help, of course}. He seriously did it all, with a little bit of help on the carpet. I love the green walls and how it's all my own and I can feel like I'm in my own world and can focus.

School. Wait, did I really just say that? I'm learning to be grateful for it. Hopefully the more I say it the more I will believe it for myself.

My best friend. I don't know what I would do without him and don't know what's going to happen to my sanity once he leaves. He's the best thing that ever happened to me. I don't know how he puts up with me. He's always so patient with me and loving unconditionally. He looks for and tries to bring out the best in me. We help each other. We can have fun together. We love each other. And I'm forever grateful for his influence in my life.

  4. wow...this is my third comment on here? haha but i just cant go without replying to you!!! maybe i should get your email? (mine is sportymegan05@hotmail.com) anyways...what i wanted to tell you is this:
yeah it is very hard sometimes. its hard to be happy and the reason i wasnt happy is because i would feel guilty being happy without him. i didnt want to be happy without him. but then i think, HE wants me to be happy. i think then its easier. im not happy all the time, i wish i was, but it gets easier. and im so glad that you can find the strength to try these hard things through me. it really is a blessing in my life to know that if anything, my trials are helping others. my heart really goes out to you right now. about at year ago at this time i was going through the same things. and i promise that the waiting to wait is harder than the actual waiting...sorry for the novel! and sorry that you have to go through this, i wish no one had to, i hate it for everyone.
